"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him" (1 John 5:14-15).
Here's a suggestion for some things you could pray for this week:
Monday: Thank God for the start of a new week. Hub Art re-starts this evening so please pray for the volunteers and young people involved.
Tuesday: Please pray for the meeting about the Free School taking place today. This is a great opportunity to invest in our local community. Please pray that God's will is done.
Wednesday: Find 10 minutes to pray for someone in our community. Pray that this week that they would understand more of God's love, grace and plan for their lives.
Thursday: Thank God for the Oasis Debt Advice Centre that is now in its fourth week. Pray for all of the volunteers as they provide financial support, for wisdom and sensitivity.
Friday: Please pray for the Pentecost Festival which starts this evening. Pray that it will be a time of celebration.
Saturday: Thank God for our health and the incredible way in which he has made us. Please pray for our running groups who will be pounding the streets this morning, pray for relationships and that through this activity people would be brought closer to God.
